About
Darksoft is a multi-instrumentalist songwriter and producer who creates dreamy indie rock sounds. Darksoft songs blend dream pop and shoegaze elements, using lush melodic progressions, 80s/90s alternative rock undertones, and deftly executed vocals. Darksoft is a DIY solo recording project often supported by a full band for live shows and tours. Darksoft is originally from Seattle and is now based in Portland, Maine. To date, Darksoft has released several conceptual albums. His most recent albums, Rationalism (2025), Relativism (2024), and Grayscale (2023), are released with Spirit Goth records alongside self-produced VHS music videos. Beigeification (2023), released with Look Up Records, is a postmodern dose of beigey moods that use "thought-terminating cliches" to match the disillusionment of our age. Previous records Cryo (2022), Meltdown (2020), and Brain (2018) blend digital futurism and watery introspection. Over the years, Darksoft has received national radio attention, charting on both NACC and Sub-Modern Charts. More about merch, shows, tours, and contact details are available on www.darksoft.band.
