Balloon Maker
Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden
About
Balloon Maker packed a van full of equipment and headed out to the heart of the Swedish Västra Götaland midland, in pursuit of their first full-length album. In the attic of the old dairy farm they’d rented, the indie quartet lived under the same roof for seven days, played music, cooked dinner and drank freshly tapped beer from the farm’s brewery. With a makeshift studio, they grew together in a myriad of delights during an unforgettable experience, and after a week’s work, they packed up the van again. This time they brought home both their gear and a finished debut album. The goal of the recording session was to get away from the commotion of everyday life and escape to the serenity that only the country-side can offer. Not only is this one thing that the debut album “Field Trip” truly reflects, but the music invites the listener to find the very same serenity that the band was striving for. What you feel, Balloon Maker felt as well. Balloon Maker has succeeded in the art of giving the otherwise timeless indie rock a distinctly Swedish twist. Through the three singles they’ve released so far, they’ve taken listeners on a dreamlike journey filled with inspiration. This journey continuous through their first full length album “Field Trip” – which they released all on their own.
